Mr. Delahunt. Let me read from the original story that I discussed; we are still paying for the tainted intelligence. The American taxpayers are going to foot the bill for Ahmed Chalabi to come to the United States and sit in the First Lady's box. Let me read this: "This decision not to shut off funding for the information-gathering effort could become another liability for Bush as the Presidential campaign heats up, and suggests that some within the administration are intent on securing a key role for Chalabi in Iraq's political future." Chalabi, who built close ties to officials in Vice President Cheney's office, and among top Pentagon officials, is on the Iraqi Governing Council, a body of 25 Iraqis installed by the United States, to help administer the country following the ouster of Saddam Hussein in April.

So here we are. We received false information, as the gentleman indicated in response to the gentleman from Pennsylvania (Mr.Hoeffel) yeilding. He said the Americans are in Bagdad, we got what we want, and he is continuing to get paid. And according to reports from British newspapers, business associates of his just secured more that $400 million of American taxpaper resources for contracts awarded by the CPA, by Paul Bremer.

I caught the tail-end of this on C-Span, but didn't know how to get the transcript. And I didn't know it was a regularly scheduled event. Now I have a whole batch of previous transcripts to catch up on, too.

I think following everything Chalabi does/did will be the key to unravelling a lot of the story of how the * gang got us into the Iraq war. That and the energy task force...

6. Incredible: I watched this last night

this is now my favorite weekly program !! what time on Tuesday night do they usually start ... it seems to end right at midnight EST ...

last night was truly incredible ... Delahunt disclosed that Chalabi has been spending about $10,000 a month lobbying the U.S. Government ... He and one of his top party members were responsible for much of the fabricated info that was passed to the U.S. ...

and where does much of this money COME FROM ?? you guessed it ... it comes from U.S. taxpayers ....

and where does much of this money GO TO ?? it goes to a U.S. lobbying firm named Shea & Gardner that employs none other than our very own ex-CIA director James Woolsey ... James, by the way, has been actively involved in lobbying the U.S. Congress to invade Iraq but somehow forgot to mention that he was being paid by Chalibi ...
