Was Bush framed to get Cheney the presidency?
I think the rw loons have always preferred cheney as prez but they know he can't be elected since that would mean waiting till 2008 when cheney is 67. With cheney's record for heart attacks, who's gonna vote for him then? So did the wackos set bush up with these iraq lies hoping he would be forced to resign and Cheney then take over as president for 5 1/2 years?

1. No
This is all bad news for Bush/BFEE. Cheney's wrapped up in it just as much.

I think this is going to be about 2004 rather than impeachment, anyway.

2. No, and here is why
Cheney was the one who ordered the investigation into the Nigerian documents, he would be the first to go.

7. Even if true, that counts for nothing
You think the public is gonna look at details such as that? The same public that believes saddam used WMDs in the war and that iraq was involved in 9-11.

20. Yes.
They will sacrifice Cheney to save Bush--the guy is old, he's got a bad heart, etc. They'll replace him with someone like Ridge or Giuliani (which would be a nightmare, in schmaltzy propaganda alone).

If necessary, Cheney will go. Officially, anyway. Bush is the cuddly face they want to stick around. He's just a suit anyway, they just need him to stand there and look folksy.

According to the TV I"ve been watching, they want to pin it on the CIA. If that doesn't work, Cheney's the one that will go. Not Bush.

They're both equally corrupt.

4. Cheney IS president.

The Crazy Monkey only serves as Figurehead-in-Thief. The Sneering Dick is #1.

Besides, Congress has got the goods on Unka Dickler. Levin is going through protocol calling the CIA on the carpet in public. Next step is to document how the so-and-so went over to Langley to give them the what's for when they didn't give Sneer & Smirk a green light on Iraqi WMDs. So it looks like the Sneer may be up for impeachment, as well as his sidekick, the Little Turd from Crawford.

5. Let's hope so
Cheney stands no chance of getting elected in '04. Aside from his health problems, he's just too creepy, kinda like Uncle Fester

6. If he was the incumbent president, he might win.
Once you're in the WH people look at you differently.

9. Totally Agree - Cheney wouldn't stand a chance in an election
The creepy factor being just one big negative.

Just looking at him gives me the creeps.

Get down to the fact that, among many, many vulnerabilities, he is the one who stated Iraq posesses nuclear weapons, just before they began the slaughter, and add to that that little hitler will likely go because of his lies on the same subject, there is no way he could be elected.

No way.

8. I thought...
I may be stupid...but I always figured the ADMINISTRATION would go down if a president were impeached...not just the man himself.

11. Yes but Agnew
resigned before that happened. So Spiro and Dick were gone when that housecleaning took place.

13. Agnew's resignation...
had nothing to do with Watergate or anything else in the Nixon administration, but with charges of corruption while governor of Maryland for which, if memory serves, he later did time.

16. Agnew was Housecleaning Step One
Repugs always choose VP's even more vile and loathsome than the POTUS as a first line of defense, so Congress took out Agnew and put in one of their own as VP before taking down the guy with a safe in the WH full of laundered cash that was being used to fund a vicious criminal enterprise.

12. Nope!
Not that it's going to happen, but if Bush were impeached and convicted Cheney would be president, just like Ford became president when Nixon resigned. I don't see how having Cheney in the oval office would make any significant difference though.

14. Tricky Dick is up to his ears in it
The way I see it, Dick will be the first big gun of the Chimp Crew to go down after offering up a bunch of minor pawns doesn't placate the public. That will give Dubya chance to appoint some one clean as his new VP, and then Dubya makes his exit and they all get pardons from whom ever the select as the next pResident. This is only of course if the public cares more about this then Paradise Hotel. Good thing they didn’t deregulate the media so that major conservative media companies will not be able to bury the story and curb public interest, Doh! Ignore that last part, welcome to 1984.

15. Cheney is implicated even more than *
after all, he's the one who stood up and claimed "we know they have reconstituted nuclear weapons" in front of as many rich republicans as much as possible, visited the CIA umpteen times to check and sent dozens of emails. Bush just vegetated and did what he was told.
