Heck we will take all of the help we can get. Stern who was a big supporter of Bush because he wanted Bush to blow up the entire middle east. Stern was one of those who was fooled into believing 911 and Saddam were connected. But now was the gay marriage issue and the FEC coming down on him, he says he will support any candidate who can kick Bush out of office. Hopefully he will use his airwaves to help our cause.

1. its all about saving his own behind....
Stern is the polar opposite of men like Dobson...and based on how CBS is kowtowing to the religious right...people like Stern are concerned that this puritan witchhunt will target them next...

3. In Stern's defense (god help me).....
He has had his attitudes about the middle east and about places like France, looooooong before bush and long before 9/11. its not like his support in that respect was reactionary. Anyone who has listened to him for years would know that.

And he's always been more concerned about free speech and separation of church and state than anything else.

5. I agree. Go Howard!
And I don't care what his motivations are.

Welcome to the Battle Against Totalitarian Darkness, Howard. Hope you decide to stay because we need every man, woman, and child in this fight.

9. Exactly....
... I don't care what his motivations are either. Him being on our side is HUGE! He has a lot of listeners and most of them are exactly the people we need to get to open their eyes and start thinking.

For those who don't listen to him - his politics have always been almost reasonable, except when it came to the Iraq war. When he started ranting about that, I just changed the station :)

I caught only the tail end of his rant this morning, but let me tell ya, whatever you might think of him, he can be very persuasive and is not afraid to speak the ugly truth. I've noticed over the last few weeks, even before the Super Bowl debacle that has cranked up the heat on broadcasters, him talking about Dean more or less favorably (tho he did join in with the scream bit, how could he not).

The "sheeple" are not so much stupid as they are ignorant and misinformed. Stern can inform a lot of people. I could not be happier that he has seen the light. :)

10. I hope he asks Mike Malloy to be a guest
Edited on Wed Feb-25-04 01:33 PM by eleny
That would be an alternative to what Mike went through on Fox the other week.

I'm just glad that Stern's butt got bit deep enough for him to wake up. Now, he'll use his pulpit to change attitudes in the demographic he appeals to. And just in time. He can rev up and has all year to influence his listeners. And being right there in New York City is some lovely irony.
