then why deny the freedom of a significant percentage of our population to get married?

Freedom is slavery.

When he is talking about freedom, he means it in the context of "you have the right to be a slave to corporate 'murika".


Only people who can afford it (top 1 percent) are above the law, and hence free in the sense of freedom you are talking about.
