but it's a simplistic connection, mainly because it's no surprise - a fundie is a fundie. That is to say, all fundies are against everything not explicitly commanded centuries ago in a cave. All religious fundies (of the Abrahamic religions let's say) are explicitly male-dominating and sexually repressive.

The other problem, of course, is explaining irony to fundies. I think the part of the brain that detects irony is destroyed by fundamentalism.
