Anybody Else Catch This On NBC Nightly News Tonight ???
I'm blowin through the house and the TV's tuned to NBC News, and they have the Tenet Hearing, and somewhere along the report (or some response to it) I hear that some government 'official' said that if we are attacked again in a 9\11 fashion, then the full weight of American power will come to bear in the search for and capture\destruction of Osama Bin laden.

:wtf:

If we have ANOTHER attack, we'll get serious???

I'm left friggin speechless. Please, somebody tell me I got it wrong!!!

I've looked high and low for a transcript here: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/3032619/

No luck.

1. Full weight?
What the hell does that mean. We already turned 2 countries into kitty litter and still don't have bin Laden. I guess if we get hit again that means we will turn a couple of countries into glass. :nuke:

3. Martial Law?
Didn't Tommy Franks (or someone like him) say that if there were another terrorist attack bush would declare martial law and eliminate the elections?

9. It was "Country Club" Franks. In Stogie Suckah Monthly...
Or "Cigar Afficiendado" as it's known to the stogie bunch.

"Suspend the Constitution" is how he put it, I think....

If that happens, I think (hope) a lot of people will have their hearts wounded with a monotonous langour...

4. So if there is not another attack, we will not go all out to
find and capture OBL? We are not in "all out" mode now? If not, why aren't we?

6. Full war
I think the official meant that we would have an all-out war with hundreds of thousands of troops and saturation bombing.

12. capturing Osama won't do diddly squat.
He's just one man, and probably not the main man. The big man could be in Egypt, or Indonesia.

13. We need to remind everyone of this,CONSTANTLY

over and over and over:

<* quotes>

"OSAMA BIN FORGOTTEN "

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our Number One priority, and we will not rest until we find him!"

George W. Bush, September 13, 2001

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and I really don't care. Its not that important. It's not our priority."

George W. Bush, March 13, 2002

IF we are attacked again, there is no doubt where the blame lies. All of a sudden the "priority" shifted to attacking Iraq instead of finishing the hunt for bin Laden. :nuke:
