Question : The Right (Or Should I Say Those Against gay marriage)
Keep Saying That Gay Marriage Is NOT Discrimination Because Gay People CHOOSE To Be Gay. Or, Homosexuality Is By Choice Not Genetics

I Could SWEAR I Read Somewhere That Homosexuality Is A Product Of Genetics And It Spans The Entire Animal Kingdom - Even Down To Houseflies.


Anybody Have Anymore Insight?
If It Can Be Easily Cited As A Genetic Condition They Could No Longer Argue That It's Not Discriminatory.

4. Check out this great book on animal behavior

Biological Exuberance : Animal Homosexuality and Natural Diversity by Bruce Bagemihl. It's a huge book (in paperback, 768 pages!) documenting reports from naturalists and animal behaviorists that had not been making it into scientific publications for years because, you know, gay sex is icky.

All sorts of statistics on homosexual behavior, intersexed animals (having both male and female physical traits), etc. Awesome book.

There is definitely evidence that homosexuality is genetic and homosexuality does exist in other species. However, we must remember that we are not dealing with a pro-science crowd. Right wingers tend to dismiss any study that does not confirm what they want to believe as "flawed" (see their response to global warming).

10. i have done some internet research

in the past so vague and dont hold me to anything. what i understand genetically it comes from the mother and the more sons she has more chance one will be gay. example mother in law had four boys the first two are not gay, the last two are. she has the daughter, the daughter would be carry this gene

also i heard in research a part of the brain, starting with h (sorry not good info) i believe just back and above right ear, dont remember name, on gay males it is significantly larger than in straight males.

those are the pieces i know on the science of it

and yes has been since beginning of time and in all parts of the animal kingdom, told that to a catholic friend and she said no no it is in no animal kingdom, total mis information givin so they could alienate and condone outrage at gay
