I watched Dayside with Linda Vester
and she was trying to prove that people who oppose gay marriage are not homophobic. She would ask people to raise their hands if they oppose gay marriage and ask them if they are homophobic and they would say no and Vester said to Kerry's campaign manager that people who oppose gay marriage just have a moral objection. I now believe that Lind Vester is a cloan of Coulter. My proof:

Vester-Ves+Coul=Coulter! See!

3. well, they're not
Not all people who oppose gay marriage are homphobic. Last time I checked, 66% of Americans do NOT want gay marriage. Not all of them can be conservatives.

4. True but . . . .
she was trying to down play the amount of hate behind the amendment proposal and the amount of hate from the far right.

8. I think the issue
should be framed as civil union. Marriage is concept associated with a religious ritual and is not, imo, the business of government. Civil unions as performed by the appropriate governmental agency is what we are talking about here. I think eventually this distinction will become more apprarent and it is why the courts are not yet taking this on. It is a constitutional matter and needs to be tested in the courts. Is it constitutional for people of the same sex to pursue happiness through civil unions?

10. Religious ritual? Like jumping over a broom?
They talk about how marriage has existed for thousands of years without mentioning that it was a property thing.

11. She was even worse yesterday
She had on (R.)Emmett Tyrell, (professional Clinton hater), editor of the American (Keyhole) Spectator, who was hawking his new tome ("Hillary Is The Root Of All Evil And She's Ugly To Boot"--Rabid Books).

He said something like "Bill Clinton likes to talk...I bet even you could get him on the phone, Linda". She purses her lips and says "I would NOT enjoy that conversation, sir!" She made Ann Coulter look warm and fuzzy.
