9. Can't top that
But gas is $1.70-$1.80 for regular here (Oregon) but you guys have to have MTBE added, which is another scam altogether.

I can't imagine that high gasoline prices will help Bushco. All the SUV and monster truck owners are going to be hit right in the pocketbook.

19. Good! Let 'em. It's only when consumers like that get hit in the wallet
that they start coming out of their stupor. It's just like this with everything, regarding these people. If it doesn't affect them personally, it doesn't exist, therefore it's not a problem. They won't start screaming for change/reform unless they feel the hurt, themselves. Their fellow man/woman be damned.

At all costs.

We have an oil President who is plundering all he can? The answer might be that the Arab world or OPEC is not on message?

Congress is not asking why are they?

17. QT control gas prices in KC like down here in Wichita??
The other station owners don't do squat without QT doing it first. Up or down its always the QT monopoly who makes the decision.

Hell,I'm surprised QT doesn't just raise the price to $1.80 or more. The other lemming station owners would do the same and they could all be in on the raping.

28. To a degree, that is true here, but around the interstates
it is more of a shock and awe, all the market will bear, kinda deal.
You gotta get away from the interstates to get a reasonable price.

31. You know what they do say that necessity is the mother of invention
They already can do it in many parts of California, lots more buses in the interim, other types may follow, but just a regular ole good bus service could save a lot of things.

People just think cars are some kind of status symbol. To me they are just overkill. It really don't make much sense as far as I can see, to transport 3-7 thousand pounds of metal, plastic and rubber to a convenience store to buy a soda pop
