On his daily radio pukefest, the so-called "Great American Truth Detector" just told his dittohead minions that Bill Clinton sponsored the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996. So I did a Google search on the act and found the following web site:

You start talking to them, and then then go into dittohead mode (which is their standard mode) and start spewing out little tidbits that they heard on Rush or Hannity.

Usually these little gems are outright lies, usually right on par with UFO conspiracies, but you are just so shocked by the ignorance of what they say that it really warps your entire argument. You end up spending the "debate" refuting their lies (which you could never convince them are actually lies) and you can't make your point.

This is why I no longer associate myslef with these assholes. Its not worth it.

They make you prove to them that their statements are false, but you have to prove that everything you say is true.

Its a waste of time, they know they are hateful, lying, braindead morons.
