WAG THE WEDDING.
This is all stuff and nonsense to distract from the miserable albiet catastrophic failures in iraq and afghanistan.

Important, most definitely, but let's not forget it's an issue PURELY designed to inflame the rhetoric and divide the masses at THE time when we most need unity.

If we're divided, the votes get churned up, the messages and focus get lost.

Rove is playing us all for fools, sadly. With indeed volatile topics as well.

the bastards.

4. Kerry and Edwards
Should both respond that "even though it is an issue that needs to be addressed we need to focus on Iraq, Jobs, Economy, Education, Terrorism, National Diplomacy and that if elected they would appoint a "non partisan panel to better research the issue to ensure that no citizens civil rights would ever be violated". Evade the issue you bet, make * look like a devisive fool? you bet. Get the issue off the front page? you bet. Not that it is not important but it is an inflammatory issue that deserves to be debated outside the context of election sound bites. It is too damn important to too many people and effects to many lives. Any statement by the candidates are going to piss off some and be hailed by the others, it is a no win situation for the candidates, get rid of it during the election and bring it to the fore front when the dems are in the WH. It is a red herring for the Repukes, they should not fall into the trap. Maybe what the Dems should do is aske * about the solicitation of the draft boards, they should be making him answer questions about controversial issues.

2. Exactly
It's a lot like the flag desecration amendments. It's very mom and apple pie, but it's not what this country is all about.
