6. Ranting about Nader
Mike,
I understand the "outrage" about Nader entering the race but he is not going to be a factor in swaying democratic voters away from the Democratic frontrunner.

Bush is radical. Voters see Bush as radical. November will be the return to normalcy in gov't.

I agree that Naders entrance into the race would be a good thing IF we had a Parlaimentary style gov't but we don't, hence the outrage. The Dennis Kucinich reference was a good point also.

Mike, don't worry Bush is not getting re-selected. Too much voter anger about too many things.

Kucincich busted his ass and Nader then turns into the spoiler.

Later Nader.

Ralph, you don't even realize yet, but you screwed up big time!

DLC and corporate media choice's so he's not allowed acknowledgement? Have all of you Kerry supporters been supporters of this corporate candidate from day one? Or is like all those people who change teams and like the teams that just won the Super Bowl or World Series?

How many have really studied Kuninich's ideas and platform? What don't you like about his liberal, progressive, FDR democratic, ideas?

At the very least his ideas need to be heard by main steam America. Kuninich is a true democrat in all sense of the word...the kind of democrat that fights for unions against corporations, the kind of democrat your father or grandfather would of been proud to know and support.

Not a corporate tool, who is ignored and can't even get any respect from many on this here democratic forum.

8. Yes, there is anger toward *, but
we can't take anything for granted. It will be close enough as the GOP starts their brainwashing and lies with the complicity of the media. They have what, $150M to start their smear campaign and say anything they want about the Dem candidate. I fully expect to hear that Kerry or Edwards likes to screw sheep and sacrifice children from the Rovian smear machine.

It's going to be a vicious election, and I think it will tighten up as people who are exhausted, working longer hours with fewer liberal or even moderate media outlets, start reciting the bullshit as if it were scripture.

9. 150 million dollars is misleading...they have as much money as they want
Edited on Mon Feb-23-04 09:56 PM by Zinfandel
or need...money is no problem...not to mention all those little right-wing oganizations that will trash the Democrats and pay for pro Bush ads and TV spots...under names like "Concern citizens for Bush." You know what I mean...they'll slander and say all kinds of bullshit and Bush?rove will back back off saying ...Those weren't OUR ads...but the damage will already have been done.

So the money means nothing to the republicans...they will have through corporations as much as they need...and a very pro Bush corporate media, to help Bush out even more.

producer) she's always there with facts---and music I wouldn't think she'd be hip to, she indeed surprise's me (but I've always been a sucker for sexy, intelligent, aware, earthy liberal women). Mike rarely surprise's me, (he used to before I got to know his show). Because Malloy is just so fucking good and professional, he's the best, bar none!

I hope on the last show, we get to hear an exchange between Mike and Kathy for at least a couple of segments.

14. Best word for Nader by Malloy: "Dilettante"
Edited on Mon Feb-23-04 11:19 PM by Ilsa
Nader appears interested in progressive reform, but he hasn't done anything since 2000 to effect change. Howard Dean brought more change to this primary than Nader ever could have.

I think Malloy's anger is righteous.

Great show tonight. Lots of calls early on. Jeebus, we'll miss him and Kathy!

On edit: Thanks for that update on the numbers, Zin. It's worse than I thought, but are so right: there is pretty much a bottomless checking account for the GOP.
