CNN: CIA Failed us in IRAQ
Edited on Mon Feb-23-04 08:37 PM by dennis4868
State run TV tonight said that the CIA just got it wrong with regards Iraq WMD threat to the USA. They say this despite the fact that the INR, DOE, DIA, intelligence branch of the US Army, and even the CIA (a month before the invasion) all warned the WH that they had serious doubts about Saddam WMD capabilities. CNN, you got it wrong. The WH failed us, not the CIA. And of course CNN does not mention that the NIE released to congress before the war did not have cavaets and qualifiers and failed to mention that entire agencies had serious doubts about Iraq's WMD capabilities. So who failed us here? You can bet a million dollars that if Clinton out us through all of this Paula Zahn and CNN would be having a field day on this and would be reporting the truth about all of this with such passion!

November can't come soon enough and we can be rid of this charade. And back to attacking the Dem President 24/7.
Edit: spelling

2. Yeah, they failed to get Bush to stop lying
They failed to tell everyone, not just the White House, about their doubts of WMD. They failed to tell us what a fucking liar Bush was, and how he wanted to go to war no matter the cost.

3. I would say the Corporate Media failed us....
if they had actually been ethical and reported the truth instead of being propagandists for war, maybe there wouldn't be a mess in Iraq.

But I digress, their "job" IS to be propagandists serving private profit-motive adventures worldwide

4. Yes, they held a gun to the collective heads of Perle, Wolfie, Cheney,
and Bush to distort the intel and invade Iraq.

What a bunch of apologists. State-run TV is right. Reminds me of Pravda toeing the Party line for the Commissars in the old SU.

5. Did they mention anything about The Office of Special
Plans?

If they didn't then you can conclude this was bought and paid for by the BFEE corporate machine.

7. No, CNN failed us on Iraq
Those dipshits played the Repug party line all through the propaganda campaign to get us into war.

Now they give the BushCo spin that the CIA was all wrong--not Shrub and the rest of the liars. Pathetic.

8. I guess CNN must have a problem with their email system

Those emails and links I sent to Aaron Brown, Paula Zahn and Wolfman Blitzer about the Office of Special plans and its role in cherry picking the intelligence on Iraq and overriding cautionary advice from the more established intelligence agencies must have become lost in cyberspace.

9. Who said this?
Paula Zahn? Well that explains everything. She can't bend over enough for Bush.

10. if they had any interest in the truth, it's right here:
http://www.laweekly.com/ink/04/13/news-cooper.php

In plain sight for all to see.

We need to inundate CNN with emails telling them about this woman and her story.

One interview with her, and the truth is OUT.
