2. This is a pure campaign speech
It's very clear their strategy is to state the exact opposite of reality and have the hand picked audience cheer wildly. How the hell do we counter this?

5. Campaign speech indeed
Edited on Mon Feb-23-04 07:38 PM by SpiralHawk
R pundits have been saying for days that this is when the Smirker in Chief will "start" his campaign for re-selection.

Expect him to come out with all Rovian guns firing.

This will set the tone -- at least the public tone. As we know, the most important aspects of BushCo are secret to all but True Believers.

BushCo's "occult" campaign for re-selection will be the one to watch out for.

The "truth" of this is held deep in the fetid krypts of BushCo's greed-encrusted, fear-mongering Skull & Boner souls.

6. Is this the kick off of the new more aggressive Bush?
That Limbaugh was droning on about today. It would cap off a string of bad public relations moves going back to the SOTUA. Anything that fires up his already rabid base just alienates more moderates.

7. Extremely Cool Response
This is a crowd that should be climbing the walls, but it sure seems to me that the responses to his comments are cool at best.

If this is his first and best shot he's in even worse shape than I had hopped.

9. "he built weapons of mass destruction...and HE HID THOSE WEAPONS"
Edited on Mon Feb-23-04 07:50 PM by amen1234

whew....bush* speech reminds me of Hitler....the glorious leader spewing out lies, and all the people clapping and cheering...surrounded by elegance...as citizens suffer and are KILLED for lack of health insurance...OUR soldiers are KILLED in a WAR for a lie....MILLIONS of citizens have no jobs...

yet the bush* GIANT GOP cheering goes on and on...right outside the door of the Washington Convention Center....18,000 people are homeless on the streets of DC TONIGHT...60 % of them are OUR Veterans...

12. if it's free and a good dinner...it attracts almost everybody in DC
Edited on Mon Feb-23-04 08:05 PM by amen1234

except of course, the homeless...the homeless are ALWAYS kept out by LOTS of security and force...which shocks me sometimes..they can't even walk into the Smitsonian Museums....the last conference that I went to at the Washington Convention Center was open to the public, it was freezing cold outside...and a member of the 'public', a homeless elderly man, tried to huddle for warmth just inside this TAXPAYER FUNDED PUBLIC giant heated building....

I was nearby when the guard threw the poor elderly man outside and was horrified as he fell to the ground near the escalator to the MetroTrain....went outside and helped the elderly man up...gave him my box lunch from the conference, and brought him back in...as my companion and after a little snit with those 'security' guards...I sat with the man while he ate the food and warmed up....he was a WWII Veteran....

then I took him way to the inside of the GIGANTIC Washington convention center to sit down quietly on a bench in the corner....

I went on about my business...sad that life under shrub has gotten so cruel....
