Secretary of Ed, "Teacher's Union = Terrorist Organization"
Do the Bushevik's lack all forms of decency???? I guess I know the answer (YES) but this just wrinkles my hide.

WASHINGTON - Education Secretary Rod Paige called the nation's largest teachers union a "terrorist organization" during a private White House meeting with governors on Monday.

Democratic and Republican governors confirmed Paige's remarks about the National Education Association.

2. Disgraceful
You might recall Paige "solved" Houston's high school drop out problem through Enron-style accounting--he stopped counting kids that dropped out.

3. The NEA IS a terrorist organization!
Sheez, open your eyes - public education in general is a terrorist organization!

Rod Paige is a derelict, but so is the NEA. I spent sixteen years in education, and the NEA did nothing but stab me, my colleagues and my students in the back. What the Hell does it do???

The NEA is one of the biggest, most powerful political organizations in the world, yet it has on its fat butt while our schools were being torn apart by Democrats and Republicans alike.

For me, education is the defining issue - the issue that drags Democrats down with Republicans.

4. There is your campaign ad
Have that quote, explaining that it is a quote by Bush's Secretary of Education. Then say, "When Bush says he is protecting us from terrorists, is this what he means?"
Then show stats about his gutting of educational programs, the underfunding of No Child Left Behind, and his lies about the records of Texas schools.

5. A few weeks back, Molly Ivins wrote ...
... that the division in American politics was no longer
conservative vs liberal, republican vs democrat, or right
vs. left -- the division was sane vs. insane. I'm starting
to see what she means.
