...WERE RIGHT, GODDAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!

Ie. CORRECT. PATRIOTIC. HONEST. RESPONSIBLE!!!!!

When do WE get some admission from the milque-toast types that WE WERE RIGHT?

From the very beginning.

We were right for taking ACTION, they were WRONG.

Wrong to NOT protest the INVASION.

Huh?

When?

From who?

Pitt, bless m', was right: SILENCE IS SEDITION!

edit: OMFG. The "_|_" is GONE!?

Good freakin' night.

1. I'll admit that I was somewhat wrong
I was wrong to jump on people who wanted the Dems to vote against the resolution in the Senate. I'll admit that I was wrong to think as I did back then. I think it should have been opposed even though the same electoral outcome in 2002 would have happened.

I will admit that I was somewhat wrong.

5. Hell hasn't frozen over
I've said that much before. I think that the Democrats should have challenged Bush more in 2002. Either way the outcome probably would have been the same.

Now is not the time to be silent. Sometimes I think, even if we lose a 40+ state landslide, that I would rather losing fighting for something than standing for nothing.

11. ok...thats a pod person
thats the same person who fought EVERY notion of disagreeing with the fucking democrats.

Oh, and by the by, "I think that the Democrats should have challenged Bush more in 2002." Bullshit. Absolute bullshit. At the time, Carlos bent over backwards to excuse Dems for not challenging him. Hell, every time any issue came up, Carlos was all about whay Dems SHOULDNT challenge Bush. And dont even get me started on how pro-war Carlos was. As far as he was concerned, Bush was doing everything for "electable" reasons.

And he thought the outcome of the election would be the same? OH COME THE FUCK ON, CARLOS! YOU'RE LYING!!!!!

18. I admire you for admitting this
Reality is that different situations can change our views about things. I admire people who are willing to change their minds when the circumstances warrant it.

Standing ... for what? That is the question now.

9. my prediction
When the casualty count goes over the gulf war 91 level...when we lose a soldier every day for the next YEAR...Bush WILL BE SCREWED...and he will lose because of this, and this alone. Even if we find WMD, I don't think America will tolerate another 400 soldiers dying by election day--At the rate we are going, this is going to be the case.

<http://www.buzzflash.com/contributors/03/07/07_patriots.html>

"Don’t be embarrassed that you strove for peace. Don’t be embarrassed that you want to know about the legitimacy of the documents used to justify our war. Don’t be embarrassed that you want to know where the weapons of mass destruction are. Don’t be embarrassed; our cause is just, our motives virtuous, our actions commendable.

We protesters may not wrap ourselves in the American flag, but rest assured we did not protest as traitors to our country, but as a people standing against needless death."

22. years ago...
at 17 I was protesting the Viet Nam war. I had terrible arguments with my parents who thought me anti-American. A couple years later they admitted I was right and even complimented me on educating them.
