408 Coalition Casualties since * declared "mission accomplished"
Edited on Mon Feb-23-04 10:47 AM by jeffsurfus
Out of the 546 Coalition casualties since the beginning of the Iraq War, 408 have occurred since * declared "mission accomplished" in his Top Gun appearance on May 2.

Since Saddam was captured on December 14, there have been 103 Coalition casualties.

1. How do chickenhawks sleep at night?
They don't. They sleep during the day in their coffins. Bloodsuckers.

4. Don't say casualties, say dead.
Casualties makes it sound like some are injured. Don't give Bush that fig leaf.

5. You're right...
it should be 408 dead. And we'll never know how many citizen deaths there have been in those time frames.

6. The larger issue is the impact on Iraqi civilians.
Nobody seems to care about the massacre of the innocents, but that is where the real karmic debt is being incurred by all of us in whose name this mass murder is being perpetrated.

I started a thread with this repost, but it has attracted little attention.

7. I couldn't agree more...
no one wants to talk about the Iraqi citizens. But we never have. Consider the numbers of Iraqis affected and dead by the effects of the sanctions over the last decade. No one would engage in that discussion.

The only way we can engage the general electorate is by discussing our war dead....that's the way its always been and that's the way it'll always be. ;(

By the way, one reason why you may not have gotten much response was that your post was in the editorial discussion board, which doesn't get nearly the traffic that the GD board does.
