Here's the REAL #1 conservative idiot on DU...
Written in the style of the list..

#1 Anyone who believes Ralph Nader should be on the list.

Oh, sure, none of the Nader haters are actually conservative, similar to the same sort of caveat invoked by this week's top ten list. Still, the gullibility of Democrats on this board to buy into candidate "who's not Bush" puts said Democrats right to the top of the list. Democrats have apparently lost any real will to fight against the right: they decry the president, but will support presidential candidates who basically handed Bush the keys to the family Abrams. The Democratic party at the national level continues its rightward slide in America, trying to co-op former Republican positions rather than standing fast and pointing out how the Republicans are ruining America. It makes one wonder whether Democrats would support a candidate who believed women should ONLY lose their right to vote if Republicans thought women should be shackled to their kitchens, simply so they could fight whatever "terrible damage President X was doing to the country." Sheesh.

Add a Kettle icon for hypocrisy, a Homer icon for dumb, and sandals for flip-flopping.

BTW, I don't feel like typing this twice so let me provide the link to what I already said about this:

4. yeah?
abortion rights and gay rights are just "gonadal politics", not worthy of his attention?

Is Nader right on that?

11. I've heard him say
he's for "equal rights and equal responsibilities" regarding same-sex unions. Not any different from any other candidate, really.

But the bigger issue was his questioning why he should "waste his time" on "gonadal politics". Even if his position is fine, do we need a President who feels these issues are a waste of time? They're pretty important to some people.

6. Ralph Nader is a self-righteous sycophant
What would an election be without Ralph Nader on the ballot? Chances are, this year, the same thing as with him on the ballot. For the last three years he has done NOTHING to further the cause of the left--or even the center-left. Ralph Nader is about himself and no one else. As to the people who want the Democrats to go back to what they used to say...I have two names for you Walter Mondale and Michael Dukakis. We all know how that turned out.

10. Moderation is a failure
You must have forgotten how we fared in 2002, with every Democratic candidate except the late Senator Paul Wellstone seeking a consensus with Bush's pending war rather than saying outright how wrongheaded and decietful the effort was.

HINT: We did control the Senate before then.

7. Nader is a liar.
He said on MTP that Gore would have gone into Iraq. It shows what a repub schill he is. Gore came out against the war when Bush rolled it out, that's why he backed Dean.

Ralph has no credibility, that's why he has no party anymore. Even the Greens told him to fuck off. He is a pathetic tool, and so are his followers.

I can't afford four more years of unemployment and no health care, there are faces that have been terribly affected by Nader's rhetoric. And after four years of this crap, this selfish motherfucker continues to say that stale mantra that there is no difference between the parties.

No ralph, there is no difference between you and Bush.

8. I have an idea...

Why don't we run a candidate who says what the right is really thinking and watch him/her go down in flames.

14. Let us say he spelled something wrong...
Well that is how they do it on Free Republic. You always know when some one puts on something the right wing nuts do not like as they will come back with that.I had a husband that talked with you that way, Means you never really need to get to the subject. We should try it.
