Andy Rooney puts me off sometimes, but it took guts for him to say what a lot of us are thinking. No one in the media is willing to stand up to the supposed Christian right. They are running roughshod over many policies. I may be loony, but I think the reason the bushies are getting rid of Hubble because it shows the universe is billions of years old not just 6,000 years old as stated by the Bible. They are giving millions to high school abstinence til marriage policies that have not been shown scientifically to be of any benefit. In fact, science of any kind holds no sway with these people. Why is media genuflecting before St. Mel? I have had 2 acquaintances invite me to see the movie because their church has bought out the entire theater. Seeing this movie will change my life and deepen my understanding of Christ.?! A movie by Mad Max will deepen my understanding of Christ? Mel has a great scam going on. Why spend millions on marketing when you can get the fundies to do it for you for free. What a great guy. NOT.
