Poll question: Should the embaro and travel ban on Cuba be lifted?
Edited on Sun Feb-22-04 09:31 PM by Cascadian
This is the most tired and failed foreign policy this country has ever devised. For 40 years, the embargo on Cuba has been in placed and yet Castro is still there and the rest of world including Canada and Japan trade and do business with Cuba. Come on. It is a failure! Nothing has changed there. The only way for change to take place in Cuba is to open up to them like we did with China.

Your turn.

1. Someone recently nominated Cuba for U.S. statehood.
Which actually wouldn't be a first. It was under consideration earlier during the 20th century, before Castro's ascent to power.

Of course, corporatist exploitation wouldn't be the motivating factor there. :eyes:

2. Travel ban no and here's why
It is the one place for the rest of the world to go to get away from Americans. :loveya:

3. Not now. I acutally think this keeps Cuba safe FROM Americans
All kind of things would be blamed on Cuba if we could get in there easily and perform a couple of black-bag jobs.

4. Yes.
It seems ridiculous at this point. I want Cuban cigars.
