How GWB became head of the new American Dominionist Church/State
Edited on Sun Feb-22-04 08:50 PM by alittlelark
This article is the documented story of how a political religious movement called Dominionism gained control of the Republican Party, then took over Congress, then took over the White House, and now is sealing the conversion of America to a theocracy by taking over the American Judiciary. It’s the story of why and how "the wrath of God Almighty" will be unleashed against the middle class, against the poor, and against the elderly and sick of this nation by George W. Bush and his army of Republican Dominionist "rulers."

This is a synopsis of the 26 page paper.
http://www.jabartlett.blogspot.com/
The complete text is at the link below

<snip>
It happened quietly, with barely a mention in the media. Only the Washington Post dutifully reported it.<1> And only Kevin Phillips saw its significance in his new book, American Dynasty.<2> On December 24, 2001, Pat Robertson resigned his position as President of the Christian Coalition.

Behind the scenes religious conservatives were abuzz with excitement. They believed Robertson had stepped down to allow the ascendance of the President of the United States of America to take his rightful place as the head of the true American Holy Christian Church.

Robertson’s act was symbolic, but it carried a secret and solemn revelation to the faithful. It was the signal that the Bush administration was a government under God that was led by an anointed President who would be the first regent in a dynasty of regents awaiting the return of Jesus to earth. The President would now be the minister through whom God would execute His will in the nation. George W. Bush accepted his scepter and his sword with humility, grace and a sense of exultation.

This is a long and very well researched article. It might be worth printing out to read (26 pages). It is quite scary, and I hope not prophetic. It explains far too much, especially the lies and death. It should be required reading.

Please share with friends.

9. What a powerful piece. Wow.
<snip>

The election of 2004 is not just another election. It is the battle of the century. It is the gravest political war since the Civil War, which if lost, spells the end of Independence Day and every right in the Bill of Rights that we have fought so hard to preserve. Is there an American, regardless of his or her party, who would not fight for our Democracy? It’s in jeopardy now. Our friends and cousins in Britain, France, Australia, New Zealand and scores of other nations have seen our jeopardy and have been crying out for months and days and years to wake up America!

Let me see your face and look into your eyes. Let me hear you say, “There is no difference between the two parties.” May God help us and grant us discernment when we vote.

13. This piece gives a true microscopic view into what is happening
This upcoming election is the most crucial we have had in our history (to the best of my knowledge). It is not ABB, it is THE DEM on the TICKET!!

4. The Supreme Court will decide if the purge can begin...
Will our government simply remove people using the Patriot Act?

This memorable quotation is from Sir Alex Fraser Tytler (1742-1813). Scottish jurist and historian, he was widely known in his time and was professor of Universal History at Edinburgh University in the late 18th century.

The quotation is from the 1801 collection of his lectures:

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largess from the public treasury. From that time on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the results that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.

The average age of the world's great civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence:
from bondage to spiritual faith;
from spiritual faith to great courage;
from courage to liberty;
from liberty to abundance;
from abundance to selfishness;
from selfishness to complacency;
from complacency to apathy;
from apathy to dependency;
from dependency back again to bondage."

Kinda eerie isn't it?

5.  The only real selfishness I see
is coming from the Republicans and their quest for $ and power.
Please post a link in regards to the sequence you are refering to, it seems vague.

8. This text was very freaky.
The following proposed law will be added to Sec. 1260 of Title 28, Chapter 81 of the U.S. Code:

“Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the Supreme Court shall not have jurisdiction to review, by appeal, writ of certiorari, or otherwise, any matter to the extent that relief is sought against an element of Federal, State, or local government, or against an officer of Federal, State, or local government (whether or not acting in official personal capacity), by reason of that element’s or officer’s acknowledgment of God as the sovereign source of law, liberty, or government.”

... will emerge from the underground redoubts to repopulate the incinerated surface, joining their fellow survivors, the cockroaches. Can there be any doubt, what the BFEE plans to do? Consider post-9-11 their "Secret Government" was made public. Funny, no Democrats were invited to safety.

25. This is so scary!!!
And it's well-researched, too. Wow. Maybe someone should send it to Ralph Nader...maybe he'd drop out. We have to get rid of these neocon freaks.

I posted a link and some excerpts of this on my site. While I'm not Christian, I respect Christianity and this stuff makes me sick. They are soiling the name of the faith and the many good people that believe in it. I don't understand how so many are hoodwinked into believing that abolishing Social Security and Medicare are "Christian" things to do!!!

18. If you mean from one country to another.....
I don't believe any country is going to be safe. There seems to be an infiltration of neo-cons trying to rise to power in several countries. Great Britain especially comes to mind. Blair wanting laws very similar to those in the Patriot Act is a very frightening thing, and I hope that the people there will nip the police state in the bud.

19. True, but even so
It would mean the difference between being the screwer and the screwee. That would be the diffference between living in Canada and living in the US. Just as there was a difference between living in Poland and living in Germany at the time of the Nazis.

You wouldn't be indirectly abetting the crime being in the satellite state.

23. some more from the article

http://www.yuricareport.com/Dominionism/ConstitutionRestorationAct.htm

Today the Yurica Report learned that on February 11 , 2004 Dominionist leaders in congress made their move; they introduced a bill in both houses called The Constitution Restoration Act of 2004. Among the sponsors of the bill are Rep. Robert Aderholt (Alabama), Rep. Michael Pence (Indiana), Sen. Richard Shelby of Alabama, Sen. Zell Miller (Georgia), Sen. Sam Brownback (Kansas), and Sen. Lindsey Graham (South Carolina).

The House version is H.R. 3799 and the Senate version is S. 2082. The bill limits the U.S. Supreme Court and federal courts to hear cases involving “expressions of religious faith by elected or appointed officials.”

28. Resistance
I think we have to start seriously planning about what we have to do if this administration refuses to accept defeat in November and tries to steal the election again.

I'm reading the Phillips book now and just finished his section on Bush* and the religious right when I came across your post and this article. Then this morning I heard on TV that Secretary of Education Paige called the NEA "a group of terrorists." That comment fits too neatly with everything this article is saying.

The military-industrial complex has been ruling this country since at least the beginning of the Cold War. Bush 41 brought the national security-intelligence complex into the highest offices of government. Now we have Bush 43* bringing the neoconservative-Christian Dominionist phalanx into power.

These people are extremely anti-democratic and aren't going to play by the rules. We have to be ready for anything.
