1. Kissinger...?
Ummm...he was only sec. of state. And his "contributions" were
appalling to say the least.
Schwarzenegger should be kept VERY far away from the WH. This guy
has the IQ of a gnat.

From the POV of the corporate fascist neo-con agenda, Bush is a 'good' president. Does what he's told, appeals to the working man, lies well under pressure, likes to play 'dress up'. Now, GROPENATOR, *that* would be a whole other LEVEL of pResident. Nazi born and raised, charismatic (not with me, personally), has 'heroic' image that could be used during the next 'terrorist attack', is an all image all the time actor. Perfect for the new REPUGLICK!!

Edited to add: OH YEAH, *STUPID*--as in NOT EVER HAVING AN ORIGINAL IDEA OR ONE WIT OF HUMAN CONSCIENCE. Yep, PERFECT pResidential material!

6. Schwarzenegger should read the Constitution.
Obviously, someone that is so concerned about following the "rule of law" wouldn't dare question the limitations placed on certain populations of people, right? :eyes:

17. An amendment to the Constitution could change that.
But with 2/3 of the states required to ratify, Arnold would be in the old people's home before that might happen.

8. Russert was certainly doing a liplock on that issue.
They way that hs head was bobbing up and down on that issue for Ahh-Nold made me laugh out loud.

Could Tim have been any more blatant in his support? The only thing missing from the cheerleading was the pom poms and the pre-game backseat nookie.

Tim really has re-defined the term whore.

14. Arnie might have a chance at the WH if he becomes born-again...
...between now and the next election. That way he can blame his past womanizing on the devil.

But this is scarey stuff. The dems have got to come up with an equivalent super-star to throw their weight behind.

15. Also check out the article's quotes on Arnie's budget, Bush's contrib, and
California becoming a Bush state in the election:

Schwarzenegger campaigned during last year's recall election on a pledge to be "the Collectinator" and get more money for California from the federal government. Bush's budget, however, did little to help the state.

Schwarzenegger said he did not feel let down by the president and said Bush can win California in November — if he does more to help the state financially. Bush lost California by 1.3 million votes to Democrat Al Gore (news - web sites) in 2000.

Read it carefully. Bushit* let Schwarzzie down once already. Schwarzzie said "Ain't no problem, Bush is my bud and he'll help me... oh yes he will!"

Schwarzzie is a thickhead. Bushit* won't help him and he's so fucking STUPID he'll believe the crockpot full of shit that Bushit* is feeding him.

MORANS!!!

16. My constitutional amendment!!!!
I have an amendment!!!!

I don't believe that foreign born citizens should occupy ANY elected post in federal government. Nor do I believe foreign born citizens should be allowed to be governor of ANY state!!!!!!!

BTW, here is a nice clip from the article:

The Austrian-born former bodybuilder, in the capital for his first meeting with fellow governors, said he has not thought about running for president in the future.

So he thinks that HE should be able to run for President. Yet, he says he hasn't thought about it. Methinks the Scarecrow has been overfilled in every area but the head.

We need to ditch this old notion that we are a nation of immigrants. It simply IS NOT true anymore. We are a country of Americans. The VAST MAJORITY of Americans are native born. There are PLENTY of qualified NATIVE BORN candidates to fill our positions of national leadership.

It's hard enough to check through the reputations of the native born. Those who are foreign born have pasts that are often 100% inaccessible to us. I don't want corporations IMPORTING foreigners for the sake of running them for federal office.

I really DON'T CARE how unreasonable that may sound. I will simply say it and MOST Americans can agree. Guess what ... It's their RIGHT to agree.

20. Wow! I'm amazed.
Why don't we just close the borders! We allow people to come here and then allow them to become citizens. Many of them, I suspect, value freedom more than many "Native Born" citizens. Why would we want to encourage an underclass of people who have all of the obligations of an American citizen but who can't hold high office?

I suspect that if this issue hadn't been raised by Arnold and if he hadn't held up Henry as a model, people might think differently about this.

You point about not being able to vet a foreigner is bogus. In this world everyone can be vetted.

Isn't this a little like the way we treated blacks in this country?

27. For the record ...

First, I resent the insinuation of Xenophobia. And I ask you WHICH countries in the world would allow me to emigrate their and subsequently become THEIR president/prime minister. If you can identify them, than perhaps those emigrating for political opportunities should choose THOSE countries instead of America.

And, for the record ... Since the 14th amendment, there has been NO legal hurdle to a black man running for President besides the fact that very few people would likely had voted for him because of racism. Every new social issue is NOT the same as the civil rights movement.

BTW, I am also FOR identification and exportation of AS MANY illegal immigrants as we can find. We HAVE the right as a country to make laws regarding who CAN and CANNOT reside in this nation. I also believe in ENDING the notion that the children of illegal occupants should be considered citizens. If that takes a constitutional amendment, than so be it.

I'm sorry, but we HAVE to protect our country. We HAVE to accept the fact that we are a nation of AMERICANS, not a nation of immigrants. We ARE NOT the worlds public space. We cannot take responsibility for the poor of the rest of the world. We have PLENTY of poor people RIGHT HERE that need attention.

Mine IS NOT a xenophobic attitude. It's a PRACTICAL attitude.

22. I read that before I came here
He has no idea if he will run for president and hasn't thought about it at all. What a lying sack! He's not even a good liar. I still can't believe so many people are that stupid. Vote-for-Bush stupidity is one thing; vote-for-Scharzenegger stupidity is on another level entirely.

24. What was that Stallone movie?
"Arnold Schwarzenegger Presidential Library?"

"Yeah, after they added the xxth amendment allowing foreign-born citizens to become Pres."

Stallone was defrosted after x years to recapture the guy that he put away long ago.

I can't remember the name of the movie.

28. Isn't it great ...

Isn't it great that Republicans are lifting initiatives out of violent shoot-em-up sci-fi movies now!!!!!

Isn't "Demolition Man" JUST the kind of "Hollywood smut" that Orin Hatch would oppose????

BTW, I kinda liked the movie (I like the 6th day as well) it actually had some sci-fi elements in it instead of the intellectually vacuous "future fantasy" that often passes for science fiction.

29. Not in the movie, but it applies: "Don't have a cow, man!"
"Seen any cows around here?" (some variation of this line was there, though!).
