Bush Became Head of the Dominionist Church/State
"This article is the documented story of how a political religious movement called Dominionism gained control of the Republican Party, then took over Congress, then took over the White House, and now is sealing the conversion of America to a theocracy by taking over the American Judiciary. It’s the story of why and how "the wrath of God Almighty" will be unleashed against the middle class, against the poor, and against the elderly and sick of this nation by George W. Bush and his army of Republican Dominionist "rulers." quote from this link. http://www.axisoflogic.com/artman/publish/article_5160.shtml

I just read this yesterday, (it is long, but worth it). This is the reason that we must all do everything that we can to get not only Bush out of power, but the whole extreme right wing and their agenda! We MUST work to defeat as many House and Senate republicans, and work on the State and Local level. They must not see the light of day, again!

Even though I don't know that either of the front runners will bring a real change, they will help us to stop this takeover of our country! There is still time to do this. After November, all may be lost for America. Can you imagine what they will do, when they actually (?) win the Presidency?

This group believes, and Thomas and Scalia (Antonin Scalia said, the Bible teaches and Christians believe "… that government …derives its moral authority from God. Government is the ‘minister of God’ with powers to ‘revenge,’ to ‘execute wrath,’ including even wrath by the sword…" quote from link) also believe, that the Consitution is NOT A LIVING DOCUMENT! That is is static, and that everything that has been changed since it's original adoption, should be overturned. (Which is funny in one way, what does Thomas think about becoming a slave, again)? Women will be back in the kitchen, your freedoms will be gone. Think about all that we will lose! They want to go back to the "Old Testament" laws!

1. Amen
People do not realize what a mess bush and co. can make of this country. We will all be consigned to hell under this kind of leadership.

2. Dominionism and Iran

The value of Iran to the White House propaganda war of fear is undeniable. But I suspect that there is also a fear among these folks of delving too deeply in to the Iranian political situation.

The Bush admin likes to portray Iran as a society ruled by clerics. That's not completely true. There is a fine balance between a secular legislature and executive paired with a judiciary of theocrats.

Well, this is EXACTLY the situation that these Dominion folks want. Fine, allow the people to vote. But allow the fundamentalist judges to veto the will of the people (along with vote stealing machines).

Conservatives decry "activist" judges. But they really decry judges who interpret the constitution in ways that permit more freedom for people and less freedom for corporations and forces that would segregate people into tight, immobile classes. The so-called "madison society" is even more activist than their friends on the left. How else could you interpret an interpretation of the equal protection clause (originally intended to equalize blacks in the eyes of the law) to strike down the democratic vote counting process because it could prejudice people against thinking that Dubaya had actually won.

3. But!
They will have all of their Christian Soldiers out of the country waging a Crusade against the Pagans of the world. There will be no soldiers left to protect them from the pitchforks and the torches.

They will hide in secret places praying to a God that will not hear. Their churches will be burnt to the ground.

Sanity will return, prevail.

Yes.
