What do the Pope and Mother Theresa have in common?
Neither one are available to become your nominee for president.

Many of you seem to be searching for someone who is perfect. I see it in your threads. Someone who is "without political sin".

I don't believe there is such an animal.

Would you like to be judged as harshly as you are judging whichever candidate isn't yours?

I know I would never be able to live up to those standards.

12. I'm with you, if the Dems put either of those two up

I would definitely be going third party this year.

Edited to add: I think Bush is closer to perfect than either of them. I despise Mother Theresa more than I despise Bush.

17. so you supported the Iraq War Resolution?
because the Pope was against it, and if you'll campaign against a man who helped bring down the oppresive soviet union, the war in iraq, tried to heal the wounds inflicted upon Jews by Catholics, and a host of other remarkable deeds, I can only assume you're against these things. I can post in absolutes too.

Granted their views on abortion are out-dated, but the Pope and his followers do A LOT more good than harm, and you only proved how ignorant you are by posting this crap.

20. explain why you would "actively campaign against them... big time"
I'm going to guess simply because they are prominent religious figures, and because they're simply religious figures, you dislike them, because for reasons I can't quite comprehend, people on this forum equate religion with something bad all because some of the prominent characters in religion are idiots (who don't represent their base all that well).

If I'm wrong, explain how, and I'll gladly apologize, but considering how you wrote the post, I don't think I am.

Till then, the "neo progressive" means, to me, someone who wants the country to progress socially, economically, and politically not caring if the policy is "liberal" or "conservative." Oh, and I refuse to be politically correct when eviscerating people I don't like (short of using slurs).

3. so how do I reply to this question honestly
without being deleted?

You know and I know, if I reply honestly re Mother
Theresa , a vaunted, actually cannonized saint, or even mention the slightest negative comment about the Pope that my post will be deleted in an instant for anti- something or other comments.

So--no comment! LOL

But a good question anyhow

11. A nice tactic, but not very subtle, changing the course of debate
to feed the need of trashing the pope, instead of addressing the crux of my theme here.
