Proposal: Any pro-Nader posts should be considered disruptive
just as any pro-GOP or RW posts are considered disruptive or inflammatory.

Nader is now an official candidate. That makes Nader the opponent of our eventual Democratic Party nominee. That means Nader intends to defeat our Democratic candidate. Nader is now, again and officially, the enemy. Any pro-Nader posts will no doubt be considered inflammatory by many as Nader is an opposition candidate.

I think anyone that pro-Nader should be considered a disrupter and appropriate action taken my the mods.

4. I intend to protest Nader if he campaigns in my local area.
I'm trying to think of protest signs. The word "liar" I think should be prominent somewhere.

6. Clearly nader is working to elect bush and his reactionary administration
so whatever they didn't manage to destroy during their first four years, they can do it the next four.

9. ROFL, and there you have the eventuality of DU
and what it becomes - an echo chamber of like minded people with an occassional disruptor they can all kick around for a few minutes before he gets nuked.

8. it would reduce the number of threads i'd have to ignore

if pro-Nader threads are allowed then pro-Bush would have to be as well.

so, if posted: alert but otherwise ignore them.

10. Disagree - Nader Running Means The Democratic Nominee Will Have
to work harder at convincing the progressives in the party that we are not outside the tent.

Before you flame me understand that I have been a lifelong member of the democratic party.

For many years my father was the democratic committeeman in our precinct.

However, I am sick and tired of the DLC dictating to the rank and file how to think and I am sick and tired of the cozy relationship between corporate America and the Democratic party.

If you can prove that you are more democratic than I am, flame away.

If you can't keep your flame throwers in check.

13. OK....
>>> I am sick and tired of the cozy relationship between corporate America and the Democratic party.

Who isn't. But, if I have a runny nose I'm not going to blow it off with a shotgun. The Dems have to find another source of funding for campaigns. They cannot just jump off a freaking cliff.

Dean at least had a vision and some success with this, but it will be a while before a presidential campaign can be run without corporate money.

Nader could no more get grass roots funding than I could. He is clearly all talk - he hasn't the power to do jack sh*t and anyone paying attention knows that.

14. "think alike"?
I invite you to take your "think alike" meme to the GD 2000 Primary forum, then get back to me.

That is as absurd and demonstrably false as the ass-clown idea that "Dems and Reps are just the same". Still buying that one?
