1. I will be busy gnawing my fingers and when they...............
are done, I will then work on my toes. I can't wait to see these pricks out of jobs. Good riddance to the brown shirts!

3. Wasn't this a Republican tactic used in Florida in 2000?
Reminding people to vote after the election.

8. My birthday too!
The day of the poor souls in purgatory or in Mexico the day of the day, with sugar skeletons!
Hopefully, it won't be the day of the death throes of the ideal of America.

11. OOOOH!
1946
Used to sing the 3 requiems in grade school for the poor souls, love requiems: Gregorian, Mozart's, Gille's, Verdi's, etc.
I was busy going to university and being shot at protesting the war in Vietnam when you were born. The U$ is the only place I've ever been shot at. And god knows I've been in lots of places where the U$ thinks I should have been shot at.
Anyway nice to have a fellow Day of the Dead fellow!:bounce:

12. Same here. You said "shot at"..Kent State?
Edited on Sun Feb-22-04 03:35 AM by MercutioATC
Yes, I realize that there were other places that protesters were shot at, I just happen to live in a Cleveland suburb and, obviously, the Kent State shootings are still a big deal here.

6. Don't worry....we'll be able to tell a couple of weeks BEFORE the
election.

If CNN and MSNBC start talking about how "Bush is ahead in the polls by a wide margin"...what they are REALLY saying (like with Governor gropenator)...is....

"We have already been informed that the computerized voting machines will elect George Bush in the General Election".

We will ALREADY KNOW what is going down BEFORE the election....due to what the republican media will be reporting.

So....a couple of weeks before the election, if they are calling it for bush...go out with friends and get really, really drunk on election night, or

start a lynch-mob, or

update your passport.

If the republican owned media is calling it for Kerry two weeks before the general election (they've already declared him the Dem candidate....they did that while others were still winning primaries...), then you can either

celebrate, or

settle in for TV coverage of several assassination/impeachment attempts, or

start a lynch-mob, or

update your passport.

I'll probably be right here on DU, or over at blackboxvoting.org, talking to my friends and fellow patriots.

The real test will be what happens in the next 5 years, if things in the world don't turn around PRETTY DAMN QUICKLY. Mother Nature, Herself, may just have the last word on all of this. Mother Nature doesn't parse words about nuclear fallout, arsenic (etc.) in the ground water, and the bleeding to death of the oil reserves.

No ONE man can save us now, even if that is his sole intent. It's going to take ALL of us, working together, to change the direction that has been set in motion. And if you ask me, it doesn't look like the greatest majority have even acknowledged there's a problem yet.

It's going to take more than this presidential election. At this point, it's going to take a O8) MIRACLE.O8)

But...I believe in miracles! I've seen some throughout my long life.

7. Yes, Nov. 2nd the earliest 1st Tuesday after 1st Monday - cool!
Election Day is the earliest possible which is good because we can't wait!!!

I have a dream...

It would be so sweet if Kerry wins some big eastern states early and handily - e.g., PA, Michigan, Ohio, Ill, NY, all of New England, WVa, and, this would be totally awesome - FLA !

And hear the pundits explain why Bush lost each key state. But only gets the South and the Mountain states.

Then we could just sit back pick up a few Southwestern states and wait to mop up the Presidency with the West coast. And we don't have to sweat it out till 3AM (or December) but can sleep soundly the night of Nov. 2nd.

I have a dream...

10. The media is already spinning it as a "50/50 nation".."Close election"
Just like in Georgia.. Does ANYONE really believe that Georgia was "close"???

Was Florida 2000 even "close"??

Nope.. the fix is in.. They will probably not use Florida again, because the Dems are a bit miffed and might start some bad shit foir Jebster to handle..

Look for it it other states.. like Kelli-forynya.. I know that people will bash me for saying it, but the media is HERE, and if Ahhhnold is very popular, and the numbers get fudged..what exactly would we do about it?? Nothing :(

Listen up people.. They have NO plans to turn over the expansive powers that they have taken for themselves..

Their little plan got sidelined for 8 years of Clinton, and they simply MUST dismantle social security befor the boomers start drawing SS.. Once that happens, the "moneytrain to Halliburtonville" is sidetracked for good..
