this is what Kasich said:
Last week heartland did a segment on gutter politics. There was quite a dustup, which found one guest walking off the set. We received nearly a thousand e-mails, and the result was split right down the middle. Half thought i was wrong, maybe a little too tough. Half thought the guests were. Nearly everyone agreed that gutter politics need to end. Viewer diane parker from california summed it up: The political powers to be need to get a hold on attacks between each other during presidential elections, then we will give birth to younger voters who will refuse to become involved in the democratic process. Judy rottermel serving in the military writes "you're spot on. Candidate bashing does little to bring issues to the table. Only an up-front and thorough debate on the national issues we face will give the american people the avenue to make their choice this coming november." Look, folks, you know I've been a republican all my life, but everyone on television, it's something. I will let you know i try not to be partisan on this show, and in fact, throughout this career, i have not been a partisan but an ideologue because i want the truth. Character assassination and slander will not be tolerated on "heartland." I don't care if you are democrat, republican or martian, we are going to engage in healthy debate, not slander and innuendo. Frankly, if we doshgs the next 8 months will be too tough. If you want to see character assassination and slander, guess what? You ain't going to get it here on "heartland."
I got the video clip too if someone wants to host it.. pm me.
