$500,000 for a dinner seat?
Schwarzenegger charging up to $500,000 for dinner seat

"Next week the California governor heads to New York for a dinner that is being billed as the biggest fundraiser in the history of politics. Guests have been invited to donate between $50,000 and $500,000 for a seat at the meal. . . .pressure groups have attacked Mr Schwarzenegger for soliciting money from Mr Johnson, heir to the Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical empire, at a time when pharmaceutical companies owe the state $1.3bn in unpaid rebates in a deal to provide low-cost drugs.

Critics question the actor's judgment in travelling to New York to solicit money to solve California's budget crisis, and ask just how committed he is to curbing the influence of business in politics."

3. That's obscene
How many people slept on the ground in LA last night, and the high whites rather throw away money on $500,000 plate dinners enriching folks like the gropenator?

4. He better eat first.
At Bush's $2,500/plate lunch last year in Burlingame, they served chicken.

Maybe I'm wrong though. Maybe at $50,000 - $500,000 they might find a way to factor in pork or USDA Choice beef.

Who's catering this thing? Halliburton?

Gotta love the pharma industry in this country. pharmaceutical companies owe the state $1.3bn in unpaid rebates in a deal to provide low-cost drugs

Kiss the money owed to California good-bye.

5. For five hundred K...
they'd bloody well better have USDA Prime beef, caviar, smoked Scottish salmon and fine vintage wines. And foot massage. And oral sex. And lackeys to carry you into the dining room in a sedan chair.

Yes...these are people with family values and God on their side!!!

Where's their priorities? Death and tryanny.

Steal the election pay later. Arnold owes $4M. Hey can I borrow that?

Let's face it...it's expensive to pay off all those media giants and election folks.

it must become a social feather ... these fatcat affairs ... the horror of showing up for your 11 a.m. appointment at Jose Eber's Salon de Beaute without one ... "darling, sorry you won't be there ... maybe you can catch one of the $2000-a-plate affairs"
