Edwards Statement on Pryor Recess Appointment
Senator John Edwards (D-NC) released the following statement today:

"William Pryor has a long record of vigorous efforts to deny Americans' basic rights under our laws. He does not belong on the federal bench. And he clearly does not belong there because of a recess appointment that ignores the Senate. George Bush is abusing his authority as president to put someone on the bench who is likely to abuse his authority as a judge. This is one more example of why we need a new president."

4. another example of Bush....
laughing in our faces and continuing his "Bring em on" philosphy with a watcha gonna do about it smirk, as in "who cares what you think". The America I knew and have cherished for the past 60 years has fallen and I am concerned that it cannot get up. First, Pickering and now Pryor, and I fear this is not the end. America the Beautiful is quickly being replaced by America the Ugly, and I can only pray for a return to sanity in 2004.
