Bush Seats Judicial Nominee That Senate Democrats Blocked...
Just don't seem to like Kerry? Thinking about Nader (again)?

Well, today * seated William Pryor on a federal appeals court. Pryor is a guy who "advocates for a greater Christian influence in government." These judgeships will be the death of us all. Our children, and theirs in turn, will be living under the long shadows of the stringent, reactionary laws enacted and interpreted by these right-wing appointees.

Please consider your vote carefully -- if Democrats don't close ranks and pull together, there will be little left to fight for.

Bush Seats Judicial Nominee That Senate Democrats Blocked

WASHINGTON, Feb. 20 — President Bush took advantage of the Congressional recess today to bypass Senate Democrats and install Alabama's attorney general, William H. Pryor, on a federal appeals court that oversees three Southern states.

The president named Mr. Pryor, who has gained prominence as an outspoken opponent of legalized abortion and as an advocate for a greater Christian influence in government, to the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. Senate Democrats had repeatedly blocked his nomination from coming to a full Senate vote, which Republicans said he would have won.
