Poll question: Tax credits for organ donations?
Would you support tax credits for organ donations? Something along the lines of this, for example?

3. I donate blood as often as allowed.
I don't see the need for a tax credit for that - there's essentially no risk involved.

But any idea that might help increase the number of organ donations is, in my opinion, a good idea.

4. The danger I see...
Maybe somebody could come up with a mechanism to prevent this scenario...

We all know that BFEE and Co. are trying to drive us towards a 2 class society: very rich and very poor, insured and uninsured, idle rich and slave, and THOSE THAT PAY TAXES AND THOSE THAT DON'T.

Now, imagine this:

You are broke, in debt, and tax season is rolling around. Life is horrible, the repugs have been in power for the last 15 years. Personal bankruptcy has been declared illegal. Debtors unable to pay are conscripted into the unending "War on Terror". You have the "opportunity" to "donate" an organ (kidney, lung, hell even a cornea) and decrease your tax bill for the year.

Who benefits? As always, now and in the above scenario, the better off. If we had a system of national health care, i might feel different.
