"We never had a chance"
I have been told in no uncertain terms that we never had a chance in 04. The debate was yada yada yada but her primary focus was on voter ages. She asserted that democrats must rely on the "young and dumb" in order to find their way into office and with Dean out of the picture, all the young kids will no longer have an interest, if they had any interest to begin with. I thought a poll might be in order. Anyone able to post a poll, please do so. And if you know of a national poll on voter ages from 2000, please send the link.

18-20
21-25
26-30
31-35
etc
etc

1. Who told you that?
We definitely have a good chance in 2004. Senior citizens are very down on Bush, and they vote in big numbers. Plus, he's doing badly among independents, which is not a good sign at all.

2. D turned L - Consultant for one of my coworkers other ventures
She is now a libertarian, so she claims. She is in her mid 40's, educated, successful and a more than a little disollusioned by this race. She never said she would or would not vote for bush but she is certain that she wont be voting D now that Dean is out.

4. Exactly so...
Chimpy has done nothing at all to gain support in the states he lost in 2000, and his support has eroded badly in many states he won that year, like Ohio, Indiana and Missouri. The only "gain" he's made is in Florida, where it appears the election provess will be even MORE crooked than previously.
