Who took part today in Censure Walk-In, MoveOn Action?
I was greeted at the door and not allowed to enter my Senator's office. Thank you for stopping by, yes, all day. Did others get postive, warm welcomes? I'd really like to know.

2. I had to work on a late project
Keep a job in these times trumps activism.

3. My senator's office was closed when I got there, at 1:10.
A sign reading:

"We will return at 2:15. You may leave your petitions at the door or return when we re-open."

I slid my under the door, as others did.

Still got a lot of empowerment out of the effort.

5. PDittie, thanks for checking in.
What state and what rep?

For me it was Dallas and none other than the venerable Kay Bailey Hutchinson. Not a friendly place to go, if you are opposed to Republicans, Bush or our illegal war. Never has been a friendly place to call either. People answering phones usually hang up, cut you off or are incredibly rude.

6. John Cornyn's office in Houston
He's rarely there (I think he lives in either Austin or Dallas).

KCDem was first in this morning at 9 am. She's got a thread going somewhere. She actually talked to the receptionist when she delivered her packet.

8. DU's slow tonight
Someone in my email group represented OK today and got an okay reception from Senator Nichols office. I phoned in to my VA Senators and Congressman and they listened politely and took note of what I said. This was a great effort and it sounds like the response was tremendous if they resorted to locking their offices.
