3. Stern is obnoxious...
Edited on Thu Feb-19-04 08:29 PM by mac2
Howard Stern only knows body parts. He's still on because,he's a Republican. A family values guy!!!

I hate those advertisements for the "Guy Show" on the Comedy Channel. They're not sexy...just gross. Why have them on during the day where kids can watch them? Adult shows and ads are OK late at night but not before 9PM. This adult kid doesn't like them at any time.

I heard that the TV in Palestine has lots of porno on. They don't want it but the programs are there anyway. Are they trying to do this to us? Ruin the morals of the young?

2. Actually, I've heard him say a lot of
stuff against Shrub and the Bushistas lately. He especially skewered that whole ridiculous Super Bowl Janet Jackson nonsense, asking why the FCC and everyone else was scrambling all over themselves to start their "investigations" of the incident, but they couldn't investigate something like Cheney going hunting with SCOTUS Justice Scalia, which was so much more important, and they couldn't be bothered with the "outing of the CIA agent thing", which was also much more important.

8. Decency Hearings....are hot air.
Have you noticed this Bush Congress holds all these hearings but does little in the way of legislation? They make a big show and do NOTHING.

The 9/11 hearings are the same loud...nothing.

5. One of my dreams is to do something dramatic to piss of the FCC...
Edited on Thu Feb-19-04 08:24 PM by Hippo_Tron
Soooo, my options are...

1) Become president and get rid of the FCC and replace it with "The agency of people who are concerned about media monopolies but don't give a shit about what's aired on TV"

2) Get billions of dollars and buy lots of media corporations and air lots of stuff that pisses off the FCC and the Republicans.

9. Hire some FCC people who aren't connected to ....
media corporations. Hire political action or academia as agency heads.

12. I like listening to Stern
And the Religious Right hates him, so I like him. Anything the Religious Right likes must be bad, in my opinion, and anything they don't like must be good.
