I think governments are out of touch with the people's beliefs worldwide

The only example I need state is India's nuclear posturing, given their Hindu population (HELLO _ GANDHI!!!!). All religions preach peace at their core, Why are all these governments so concerned with war and not peace? Peace would benefit EVERY NATION!!!!!!!
