Anyone see the Mike Malloy debacle...
Edited on Thu Feb-19-04 04:37 PM by HOWLIN_WOLF
last Saturday night on Faux news channel? I personally like Malloy and listen to his show nightly, but the way he was treated on "From the Heartland" with John Kasich (former Repuke congressman from Ohio) was thoroughly disgusting. Kasich and his other guest, some ghoul from L.A. who has a talk show named Hugh Hewitt, really ganged up on Mike. However, Mike was doing a complimentary job of holding his own against these two "pasty faced white men" when they cut his talking and hearing devices off. As Mike has elaborated on his show...once they do that, you are through. This prompted Malloy to leave the set at which time the "pasty faced white" men began accussing him of being unable to defend himself. Here is a link to the video http://www.mikemalloy.com/gallery.html

1. the right is full of cheap tricks
We saw one here yesterday--about the WH urging people to freep a poll.

And more often than not, when I vote at a CNN or MSNBC poll, I get a technical snafu that I'll bet prevents my vote from being recorded.

2. I sent a note to James Carville...
and the Malloy link and told him that Himself and Malloy should invite these two chowderheads onto Crossfire for a little "friendly" two-on-two debate!

3. I also saw the program
I listen to Mike every day (download the night before) and I am so tired of the right doing this to differing points of view. The right is so mean. Very mean spirited people. I like Mike Malloy and I hope that someone picks up his show. I will miss listening to him.

4. Perhaps if other DU'ers...

would contact Carville, we could get a re-match arranged. Carville can be reached at james@carville.info or at crossfire@cnn.com Keeping in mind that there is strength in numbers, if enough people contacted him it could be brought to fruition. I e-mailed Malloy about it last night and he seemed ageeable...said he may even contact Carville himself! James' website, which is pretty neat is at http://carville.info/

5. I saw the end of it...........I think it was triggered by the "Bush Crime
Family" comment by Mike which he said a couple of times. He was asked about that and seemed to avoid answering it, but addressing something else. I thought he would enumerate some of the things that made the comment legitimate.
Then he walked off, which I think was a tactical mistake because Kasich and Hewitt had the time to themselves. My impression was that Mike didn't jump on the chance to explain the BCF statement at that point, but sort of went by it to something else.

6. Malloy is a threat to them. He speaks the truth.
They get all bent when someone says something they consider blasphemous. ie Reagan suz, Bush lied, Fox isnt fair.

8. A similar incident happened on Bill Maher recently
During interviews of two who were in the military at the same time at Dubya and who provided proof of his absence, the sound cut off. It mysteriously cut back on when they finished their comments.

What is America coming to when people are so afraid of the truth that it has to be blacked out? Very sad.
