Pakistan - how have they helped us?
Pakistan has been been in the news lately with their exporting of nuclear technology but since they are an ally of ours it made me wonder...what have they done to help us in the "war on terror". My understanding is they hosted taliban/al queda training camps prior to 9/11...so what makes them special now?

1. By locking up anybody who opposes the US occupation of Pakistan and

killing anybody who might have information that could be embarrassing to the US or its "allies."

3. It depends on the meaning of "us"
If by us, you mean citizens of the US-- the answer is: Pakistan has made the world, esp. Iran, North Korea, and Libya more...interesting. If by "us" you mean GWB: they have promised to make October more...surprising.

PS--Pakistan today announced it will refuse inspections of its nuclear facilities or monitoring of its nuclear weapons program. The Bush administration will not ask for sanctions.

4. Pakistan helps the Bush family launder drug money
It sound crazy, but isn't that what John Kerry's investigation proved? BCCI and Iran Contra. I wish Kerry would say it in public.

5. Pakistan...
was one of only three countries that recognized Taliban before 911. They became an American "ally" under intense pressure...

This "ally" is still harboring Al-Qaeda and other terrorists...a large portion of the population (80%) supports Bin Laden over Bush...

So why are Americans giving $3 billion to Pakistan?

6. As a bribe to keep them from nuking India?
I mean, all the corporate interest is in India these days. Blowing that country up would rather cripple America, what with IT and the American credit bureaus moving over there faster than you can say "outsourcing is the last refuge of a coward". Or even just "oursourcing", they are fast and equally thoughtless for the long term...

Remember, repukes care only for their corporate sluts and their wealth. People mean nothing to them. Only things and money.
