The only drawback to "Gay Marriage" is...
when all my gay friends get married I won't have anyone to hang out with anymore, just like my straight friends... I'll still be a fifth wheel.

2. Not Only That,
but you will have all those gay married couples wondering just what is wrong with you and why you haven't found the person who will make you happy for the rest of your life and who will make you feel as though you are somehow incomplete because you have chosen to remain single.

In other words, those of us who understand that being gay does NOT mean conforming to what straight society does will be made to feel like we're not quite right by our gay married friends.

Nice to contemplate, eh?

3. You might have seen this with pictures.
Last week, the Massachusetts high court sanctioned same-sex marriages in that state. What do you think?

Karl Collins, Mechanical Engineer "Same-sex unions will only serve to weaken the institution of marriage for the rest of us. My wife and I can barely stand each other as it is."

Joe Perez, Waiter "How will they decide who's going to wear the wedding dress?! Whoa! Sorry for being so 'politically incorrect'!"

Frances Evans, Producer "What's the big deal? It's legal now. My sister's married to a gay guy and everyone knows it."

Walter Hill, Systems Analyst "Great. Just when I finally get my mother to accept that I'm gay, she has a whole new thing to nag me about: getting married."

Jerry Turner, Musician "Some fag better not try marrying me. These days, you fuck a guy one time and he pulls out a ring."

Diane Morris, Counselor "As an overweight, emotionally needy fag hag, I strongly oppose all gay marriage legislation."

4. Don't worry 50% will be divorced in 10 years
;)

When I was a young, naive 18 I used to say I didn't want to get married. People (usually women) would say "well who will you date in your 30s when all the women your age are married?" I'd say "I'll just hang tight till my 40s when they start getting divorced". Turns out I didn't have to wait that long. I'm 33 and two of my friends are divorced already.

5. How Dare You!!!!
How dare you make such an insulting suggestion?!?!?

Don't you know that the whole reason for the push for gay marriage is that gay people form such long-lasting and permanent bonds -- bonds which the state simply MUST recognize!

And I can't believe that you do not know that we gay folks are really so much superior (in terms of the strength of our bonds to our partners) than straight folks are. We are better able to communicate our concerns about sex, relationship, and other things with our partners -- we're SO much freer because of our less-repressed attitude toward sex.

Take my word for it, there will NEVER be any gay divorces. Not if gay folks are allowed to have their permanet, life-long, and deeply-committed relationships recongnized and acknowledged by the state and by straight society.

7. I Can't Wait For Gay Divorce Court!
LOL!! My goodness, loosen up....haven't you ever had any of your frends have a bad break up? Well when that happens after people are married they take a trip to the big D and I don't mean DALLAS...gay or straight, married or not, people fall in and out of love, end of story!

8. Not a pretty sight.
If had been married to my ex, I would have gotten an Oscar for my performance on the stand.

I would have ripped him a new legal ass.

9. No, No, No, No, No, No, No!
For heaven's sake! No!

The bond between two gay persons is so deep, so profound, and so -- well, so gay -- that it simply MUST be recognized by the state in order to have any validity at all? Don't you understand?

I mean, come on -- we gay folks could not possibly exist unless our deep, permanent, life-long, and deeply-emotionally-satisfying relationships were recognized by the state.

And, with state-recognition, it doesn't take a rocket scientists to figure out that our deep, permanent, life-long, etc. committed relationships willo have something that they don't have now - and with that extra something, our relationships must become even more deep and committted.

No, gay people, unlike straight people who are somehow unable to communicate with each other, will never, ever divorce. Gay marriage is the solution to all of the problems gay folks face.

10. YES YES YES and I Would Bet You Money!
Hey outinforce I will bet you any amount of money that if the gay marriages stand (no need to divorce if they are annulled anyhow), there WILL be gay divorces, and within the same year. Dude you have quite the superiority complex going there but y'all are only human after all.

Heck what about the high-profile quasi marriages like Ellen Degeneress or Melissa Ethridge, they fake got married and are already split up.

13. That's Right
"Heck what about the high-profile quasi marriages like Ellen Degeneress or Melissa Ethridge, they fake got married and are already split up."

See, you make my point.

If Ellen's or Melissa's marriages had been recognized by the state as being "just as good" as any straight person's marriage, then I'm sure neither marriage would have broken up.

It is because straights have denied us gay folks -- for so long -- the recognition and validity of our deeply committed relationships that you see things like the break-up of Ellen and Melissa's marriages. But come that glorious day when, throughout the land, gay people can at last get married --- just like straight people do -- why, then, we gay people will at last know that straight people recognize us and the validity of our relationships. And, with that recognition and acceptance, gay people will finally be complete.

And, with that complete-ness, there will never be any divorce.

6. Good Things Come to Those Who Wait
I hope all you G & L hang in out there. Don't let those crazy fundelmentalist get in your way. They are so last century, but like a hungry monster, they'll keep coming and spewing their message of God is Love while denying others' right to love. I wasn't so sure about Gavin but now I hope he runs for Governor some day. I think I just might want to move there from this racist hick town I moved to recently. It's great to see happy people on the news eduring rain and wind to stand up for their rights. San Francisco is great, just great and I am happy everytime I go there.
