Constitutional question
Does anyone know whether citizens can start a petition or something equivalent in order to impeachor remove a president?

1. Sorry, No....
The only procedure the Constitution provides is by the House of Representatives.

Another reason why one party rule is a bad idea.

to motion for impeachment, thats it as far as i know

3. It doesn't say we can
BUT the 10th Amendment DOES say: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."

4. I leaned over and asked my lawyer spouse who is a Constitutional wonk
The word was "not without the House of Reps" moving it forward. And we know the Republican controlled House ain't doin' anything of the kind.

7. But wait
Can't we petition the government anyway? 1st Amendment gives that we can petition our grievances, and I think W by himself is a grievance. Can't we do that?

5. Since the so-called honchos in DC
don't care what the constitution says and does what it desires, why should we? Get it in motion!

6. Those so-called honchos in DC were stupid enough to sign THEIR
constitutional rights away with the IWR resolution. The pResident does not declare war, congress does and those idiotic sob's gave the power to the pResident!

I think they are all so very ignorant.
