5. how about this quote
"This post has long been vital to the defense of America. And today, the men and women of Fort Polk are serving with skill and bravery in the war on terror. Since our nation was attacked on September the 11th, 2001, this post has trained and deployed more than 10,000 troops to fight the terrorist enemy."

Hold on-have all the folks from Polk gone to Afghanistan or is Bush implying that IRAQ is the terrorist enemy?

"In the war, America depends on our military to meet the dangers abroad and to keep our country safe. The American people appreciate this sacrifice. And our government owes you more than gratitude. We must always make sure that America's soldiers are well-equipped and well-trained to fight this war on terror."

Uh--isn't haliburton better equiped then our soldiers?

"The former regime in Iraq also witnessed America's resolve to confront dangers before they fully materialize. My administration looked at the intelligence information and we saw danger. Members of Congress looked at the same intelligence, and they saw danger. The United Nations Security Council looked at the intelligence, and it saw a danger."

Is this a game? How many times do you tell a lie until it is true?

35. Afghanistan= terrorism is also another one of their lies
Whoever did 9-11, and we have no idea who did it...probably home grown though... NONE of them "officially" were from Afghanistan. The ONLY reason we bombed Afghanistan and killed thousands of innocents there was because the Taliban refused our oil pipeline deal. We threatened to bomb them in July of 2001. Had nothing to do with what happened on 9-11.

Think about it for ten minutes. If some United States terrorist group decided to detonate a nuclear bomb in Paris, would you think it was appropriate for Europe to carpet bomb the entire US for ten months to apprehend those few terrorist members???

You seem saavy about Bush lies, why do you swallow this biggest one. It makes no sense on any level.

I remember reading that LBJ had to resort to doing speeches at military bases because he got heckled wherever he went to give a speech.

"What happened to you?"

"Well, I ran into a VC who yelled 'Lyndon Johnson son of bitch.' So, I yelled back 'Ho Chi Minh son of bitch.'

"While we were having a beer, the truck hit us."

9. That is easy for that
fuckwad to say while he is surrounded by security, rides in his armored limo and has the courtesy of the Air Force to protect AF1. He gets to sleep in his comfy bed every night and eat decent meals. He lives in safety and luxury, they live in fear and sand. I truly despise the chimp like I have no other in my life. I usually don't resort to hatred, but in his case, I simply cannot help it.

11. words of wisdom
to future parents. Do Not let or encourage your children to join the military in order to get benefits or some sort of macho satisfaction. Teach them that intellectual satisfaction is far superior to military macho points.

The price they will pay under an evil man such as Bush, may be their very lives.

http://www.mfso.org
http://www.bringthemhomenow.com
http://www.vaiw.org

I emailed Michael Moore's group and asked them if I could go to DC and stand in front of the WH with enlistment forms and demand that every Senator and House Rep who voted for Iraqnam have their kids sign up. I also asked them if I could go down there and demand that bu$h have his kids sign up for weekend reserve duty, no strings attached...they havent emailed me back, but I wish I could do it.
Gotta put my anger somewhere.
edit to add: He just emailed me from Kuwait..says he doesnt know where he is headed in Iraq yet.

The World STILL says NO to war....and YES TO PEACE....

Momentum is building for the Global Day of Action against War and Occupation on March 20, 2004—the one-year anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. On that day people all around the globe will take to the streets to say YES to peace and NO to pre-emptive war and occupation. Joining with growing numbers of military families and soldiers, we will call for an end to the occupation of Iraq and Bush's militaristic foreign policies. March 20 will be the first time the world's "other superpower" will take center stage since Feb. 15.

16. Bush reminds me of Shrek's Prince Faquad who said:
Imagine John Litgow's voice: "Some of you may die...but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make."

He's what Louis L'Amoure would have called 'yellah' and a tinhorn gunslinger. In essence, a loudmouth who doesn't back it up, and when he does stand in front of a real gunslinger, he buys the farm.
