Rolling Thunder attacks on Bush gets under Faux's skin
Fox News is upset about all of the criticism the Bush administration is getting, especially when Al Franken is involved. Below is the link to the article.

13. I periodically read and listen to the Fox Shows
Reason being, I read and listen to see how they are going to defend the Bush administration from all of the attacks they are receiving. Yet, on the other hand, the same people angry at the way Bush is getting attacked, were the same people cutting Clinton up in the same fashion.

I read and listen to the Fox News network to see how they duck questions concerning how Bush is not living up to any promises, then how quickly it gets placed on Bill Clinton's lap. I like to hear with my own ears, and see with my own eyes, how the republicans think, and squirm when faced with some of Bush's issues. Then, I like to share that with the DU'ers and get their feedback.

And it *FLOORS* me that they ended the posting with "Click here to watch a fair and balanced report by Fox News' Anita Vogel."

edit: I hope their criticism has a similar effect to their lawsuit against Franken, and more people learn of Rolling Thunder because of it. I'm looking into it now.

Dear Lloyd!!, how far can these schmucks push the envelope of hypocrisy?
...critics say these kinds of shows don't bode well for the seriousness of public policy.

"It cheapens it, it trivializes it and it turns it a great deal into a wrestling match where you're rooting for your favorite shouter or entertainer instead of doing real politics," said media specialist Marc Cooper.
Exactly what the hell are O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh, Coulter and the rest of their ilk doing for the tone of public discourse? Crikey!

15. Fox led me to Franken and then here
I was kind of just rolling along through life as a disheartened liberal thinking nobody out there cared and that there was no liberal voice out there... then, I heard about how Fox was suing Franken and, of course, I immediately went out and purchased "Lying Liars..." and loved it, then went out and searched the web for any sort of sane discussion of politics - first coming to oreilly sucks.com and then to here where I have put in 800+ mostly useless posts in 6 months or so!

17. Blogasm!!
I followed the same path. I didn't even know what a "blog" was until I read Franken's book. Now instead of watching cable news and trying to restrain myself from throwing the remote at the screen, I just log on and circle the globe. It has saved my political sanity.

I'm starting to think Faux News is going to just drop the "Fair and Balanced" charade and just go blatantly pro-RNC all the time.

BTW - What's with the bizarre White House "Splash" I see when I click the link? (At least in IE6) Strange!

OK - did a bit more research and noticed the .css file has this jpg...
and it appears like a splash in IE:

8. Keep them on the back foot
That way they are always defending and can't attack.

On another point, however much I admire Paul Krugman (a lot), he is one of the least telegenic pundits out there and I wonder if he'll do okay on a stage.

14. I first learned of Karl Rove through Franken's book
Fox believes "...these kinds of shows don't bode well for the seriousness of public policy...It cheapens it, it trivializes it," which is a total pantsload.

I read Franken's "Lies" and wanted to know more about the bloated "Boy Genius." I was shocked, I was disgusted, I started reading the Molly Ivins & Lou Dubose stuff, Jim Hightower's books, Michael Moore, David Corn, "Bush's Brain"...over 20 books on the "Bush Dynasty" in the last year alone, so now I can connect the dots whenever Bush opens his mouth. I know about Rove and Karen Hughes and all of the other hellbound passengers on the Bush Train.

So Franken deserves one hell of a lot of credit. If he was able to wake up and shake up people with humor...and if he continues to do this...then screw Fox, and the horse they rode in on.
