Huge Media Blitz against Dean quantified
I know it's very fashionable 'round these parts to postulate that John Kerry's ascension in the primaries was done on merit; but unless you completely discount the Corporate Media that premise is pretty shakey.

This study , albeit replete with typos, shows in bar charts what we all just witnessed: The gunning down of an honest man by backshooting scoundrels with a lot in the way of vested interests to protect.

This is worthy of GD since the discussion is about corporate media and their vested interests. Looks like ol' Karl "wanted" Kerry after all.

Don't think candidate Kerry won't be next. The question is, is there anything you can do about it once the corporate media turns on you?

2. Ted Rall agrees

excerpt:

NEW YORK--Bush must be laughing his ass off. Voters too dim to recall yesterday's news are letting him get away with running on the imaginary successes of a phony record. Lazy journalists are allowing him to run on a patently fictional platform of promises while ignoring the disastrous realities he has planned for 2004. Now Democrats, falling for Karl Rove's silly "we'd love nothing more than to run against Howard Dean" baiting, are about to hand him the November opponent nominee Republicans wanted all along: John Kerry.

4. The same corporate media that declared Kerry's candidacy dead for months
while saying that Dean was unstoppable causing Kerry's fundraising to dry up while Dean's campaign coffers filled?

Yeah....the corporate media is to blame alright. They are to blame for creating a bubble around Dean's candidacy that was always going to break when the truth about his actual level of support from voters came out.

6. Pretty Amazing
and it doesn't even tell the whole story.

The TYPE of charges levelled against Dean were very destructive. And the unanimity of the charges with no serious dissent allowed them to become accepted as gospel.
