1. Scathing.
There's lots of detail here, a long article. I hope this gets wide circulation. Thanks for posting.

The final paragraphs:

They have preempted the Congress successfully by appointing a commission with little expertise in intelligence matters that will not report until after the election. They have mandated the commission to do everything but what was being demanded -- namely, that it examine the role of the Bush administration in dealing with the intelligence that was collected, then exaggerated and manipulated.

They have loaded the commission with work unrelated to the reasons the public (and Congress) sought the inquiry. Finally, they have created a study that will be reported only to the president (and vice president), so unless Bush decides to disclose its work, no one will ever know what was, or was not, done by this commission.

Bush should be given an honorary membership in the International Brotherhood of Magicians for his latest political handiwork.

2. Good for John Dean; Don't ever say prison doesn't reform hard criminals
Perhaps there's hope for Jeff Skilling when he gets out in a few weeks from now.

3. This is not about 9/11 Commission
it's about Iraq/WMD Commission

4. I haven't hear a peep out of the Democrats about this fraud.
None of the candidates; none of the "Congressional leaders." :eyes:

It's to be expected that the media wouldn't have dared to condemn this ridiculous pseudo-commission. But shouldn't there be a bit of noise about it from the (excuse the expression) "opposition party?"

5. I've been disappointed
about this too. A handpicked bunch of extreme rightwing nutjobs with a few pliable moderates does NOT make up an "independent" panel. Its also common knowledge the WH will control the agenda and their mission, I've never seen a bigger farce.

6. it's time for ALL Americans
to raise Hell about this issue.
There is but a small window in history for any public influence here.

On a personal note, I will assure readers that there is a noticable increasing public support at our regular Saturday KC 911 Visibility protests. Many people realize that the media is ignoring this scandel and are HUNGRY for independent information about this issue. Last Saturday, there were more honks of support and excitement than I ever remember hearing. There was also much less negativity than just a few months ago.

Forming a 9-11 visibility group in your area is easy and is a healthy outlet. NOW is a great time to start your town in this 9-11 Visibilty movement. The number of cities involved is growing daily.

We have provided a step-by-step how-to guide to help you get your group together, complete with tips on tabling at events, organizing actions and demos, networking with local peace and justice groups, etc. Everything you need to get started, including where to buy 9-11 books, videos and other materials, is in an online guide.
