How many solo flying hours did Bush have?

Just wonder just how many hours he had fling solo in the guard. Anyone know?

about 645 hours. I do not believe it.

3. He claimed flying hours - I have never heard a "solo" claim, and the base

had 2 seater versions of the 102 per Coldfeet.

But the claim he crashed a plane on landing (stated as an exchange between a book author and Bush in which Bush does not deny - just says find the plane) would indicate he was at the controls.

so he could stay under that magic '500' hours number that advances a pilot to the next level of jet which then qualifies one for Vietnam flight duty.

Nor can I find the last date that he flew for the Guard.

This is to say, they have not released all the records, just his 'personal' ones.


The wise journalist would FOIA the UNIT records for Texas and Alabama, including flight logs, finance reports, etc.

Speaking of finance records, it appears that they were not released. Most of these would be 'unit' records, but there is a personal record, too,IIRC, and finance is considered separate from 'personnel'. The released records appear to be only his 'personal', 'personnel' records.

A journalist FOIA req would be fast, and unit records are routinely made available to veterans who look up their buds, settle bets over who was CO when, etc., and no privacy waiver is required. :evilgrin:
