Gavin Newsom Rules!!! (the San Francisco Mayor)
Edited on Mon Feb-16-04 06:38 PM by bluestateguy
This guy is just terrific. The Greenies who whined anbout him during the campaign are being proven wrong. He is giving a big middle finger to the fundamentalistwackos and gay bashers all over the country. He is to the gay rights movement want George Wallace was to the anti-civil rights movement. Maybe he can orchestrate a nice stunt whereby he stands in the door of City Hall to block the efforts of state and federal bureaucrats who want to sabatoge gay marriage. Go Gavin!!!

2. Perhaps best to avoid the George Wallace comparisons. :-)
Not only was he on the side of the bigots, but he was also on the losing side of history.

Thankfully! :-)

3. I voted against Newsom
But I'll give credit where credit is due. Gavin, ya did good! Keep it up and I *may* vote for you when you're up for re-election. :)

Note: not a Green, just a progressive SF voter...

One good month is a good start, but it's still only one month.

I'm not Green, not particularly progressive, but tired of Feinstein Democrats. Newsom having the guts to do this is a pleasant surprise.
