I just got back from donating blood again.

I just got back from donating blood again.
I live within the 100 mile radius of the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center in Texas, so they are our "collectors" of the red stuff. A worker verified that some of our blood products are shipped to BAMC, the San Antonio burn hospital for service men and women.

I'm amazed that blood centers aren't using the injuries, burns, etc. from the war to prompt more donations: "Support our Troops! Give Blood!"

1. I don't suppose the blood centers dare imply that the
current shortages have anything to do with casualties in Iraq. We wouldn't want anyone questioning the number of killed and wounded being reported.
