Typing in "miserable failure" and hitting "I'm Feeling Lucky" would bring you to George Bush's official bio at the White House website.

3. Google
Talking about the google thing where you type in "miserable failure" and then hit "I'm feeling lucky". Used to take you to W*'s bio page at whitehouse.gov. Now it takes you to MichaelMoore.com. Although what is funny is it takes you the front page, where Moore puts up open letters and currently has an image of Bush's dental records. So more or less the point that the miserable failure is Bush still prevails.

Leave it to the Repubelickin's to ruin a good joke.

4. Well, yeah...but the second instance of this isn't getting much press.
When the bloggers google-bombed "Miserable Failure", it actually received some attention. Now the only place it will get noticed is Freeperland.

5. This was intentional
Google specifically removed the Bush results from the "miserable failure" bomb. Then they declared it is not their policy to review individual "bombs", but rather that they are working on a general software fix to stop them from happening.

The result is that Moore's website, being in second place, is the one that pops up now and Google has a vague promise to get it to stop...eventually.

12. Welcome to DU....
...do you have a link for what you say here? I'd like to read it -- everything I've been able to find says that they think Google bombs are funny and have no intention of trying to stop them.

Thanks very much! Welcome to DU!!

13. If you put "miserable failure" in quotes, google takes you to Moore, but
without quotes, * is still #1.
