Will any Republican running for office want Bush* to campaign
for them? I am getting the impression that they are starting to distance themselves from Bush* and might just ask that he stay away from their districts. I heard on C-Span this AM a gal running for Senator in Kentucky was noticeably distancing herself from him so I wonder how many others will do likewise.

2. not senate.....I heard that, too
it's the seat the new governor vacated...congress

Chandler, his opponent, is running against her.

the VERY moronic mitch mcconnell is backing her, w/lots of bucks

HOWEVER, according to the Lexington reporter who was on CSPAN, she has excised some Bush quotes/endorsements; something similar, anyway, and is downplaying any connection between them

so you're right in mentioning this, as I think it would be something the MEDIA handmaidens'd be BARKING all over the place about, if the parties were reversed.

remember all the controversy about Clinton appearing/not appearing for Gore, as well as whether it cost Gore the election, by perhaps keeping the dem base from turning out in as large numbers as they may have, had he hit the stump with any sort of frequency?

3. Kerr
She began her campaign by linking herself to * completely. These were RNC ads and they really just showed how out of touch they are. One even began with a shot of Dean, Hilary, and Kennedy. She continues to claim that she wants to help * make the "tax cuts" permanent and faults Chandler for having no policy on Iraq. The farther behind she has dropped in the polls, the less * is in evident in her ads. She really has no platform at all. Chandler has very strong Democratic and populist credentials and we will be very happy to have him represent us in Congress.

5. Chandler is up by about 10 points
in the last poll results I heard. The district is Lexington and surrounding counties. Fairly conservative area, but more tuned to local issues. Before Fletcher ran his nasty campaign we had a good Rep....Scotty Baesler. He was conservative, but with a strong populist streak. The last poll I saw was Chandler 49.5, Kerr 39.5, and 11 undecided. Check out his page by the way.

http://www.chandlerforcongress.org/

He has endorsements from the League of Conservation Voters, Sierra Club, and the NRA. Quite a combination....lol. He is also the grandson of Happy Chandler, for mer KY governor, and Baseball Commissioner when Jackie Robinson entered the Major Leagues.
