Did anyone see Dobson in Face the Nation?

It seemed so unreal. All he could say is Bush is the best president we have ever had, there is nothing to the AWOL story and it makes me mad they even bring it up, I served in the guard and the dems are just bringing this up to say people who serve in the guard are bad people, and gays are on a quest to ruin the world and us with it, and actiist judges are doing the same.

Schiefer didn't really take him on about it but I couldn't help thinking even Schiefer knew he was dealing with a lunitic. I was slightly sympathetic. It's like trying to argue with your 3 year old. You just have to stop at some point cause you know the kid will never make sense, never listen to you, and never stop stomping his foot and saying: "no it's not."

How/why does this guy get air time? Was it to show just how crazy and out of touch people like Dobson are?

And I'm getting more than tired about the press saying, as the woman commentator did, that the Dems better be careful making such a big deal out of the AWOL thing. Gee, I thought it was the press making a big deal out of this, or at least helping. They wanna deny they play a part in this.

because it perfectly illustrates the extremists that they truly are. I thought Schaeffer did a really good job (I like him - he seems to be the fairest of all the mainstreamers). I think that many people (other than the radical right-wingers)watching Dobson will say to themselves: "Oh my God, this is who's running things?!?!" He and his type are exactly who we need to see more of. The moderates will finally get how bad it is and that can only be good for us.

Dobson was SO crazy I wondered if they put him on to show just out freaky these people are. And, I too think Schieffer is the best of the morning talking heads. He seems more liberal than the rest of them.

His comments at the end of the show are almost always good. Today he said his first reaction to the AWOL story was it is no big deal but he changed his mind watching the White House respond which has been less than forthright. Makes him think there is something there. Which legitimizes the story.

Garry Wills took Dobson on about that, repeatedly called upon Dobson to answer for some insanely outrageous charges made in one of his books, but Dobson has NEVER been made to answer for that
