Yesterday morning while watching the Today show, they trotted out Lt. Col John B "Bill" Calhoun. His sole purpose in being there was to confirm that he had seen George W. Bush reporting for duty as scheduled in the Alabama Air National Guard. Now since the AANG flew F-111s and Bushboy was trained only to fly F102s, Mr. Calhoun said that Bush was assigned to do lots of paperwork, which is why he was rarely if ever seen on base.
The interesting thing I found about this little blurb was that it was being filmed from Daytona Beach Fl. I did a little digging<

So why is he there doing interviews with NBC and CNN<

Could it have anything to do with the fact that his old 'buddy" George is going to be down there today to watch the Daytona 500? Is this Mr. Calhoun's payoff for being the first witness to show up saying he remembers old Georgie from back in the good old days at AANG? Or is he simply down there by coincidence?
Just something to make you go Hmmmmm!
